No card required. Your first mock is free.
Everything below is live today.
Every spoken and written response scored against the official PTE scoring guide — in under a minute.
From Read Aloud to Write from Dictation — every task type, exactly as it appears on test day.
Complete practice tests under real exam conditions and timing, so nothing surprises you on the day.
See your estimated score across Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening — and where marks are leaking.
Track every mock over time and watch your estimated score climb toward your target.
A PTE plan is a PTE plan — you pay for the exam you are sitting, not for both. Preparing for IELTS too? That is a separate plan.
All 23 question types
You meet several of these for the first time mid-test.
Under a running clock, with no way back. Pick a type: this is the card the runner shows you the first time it appears — the same timings, the same marking, the same tip.
New question type
Read Aloud
Look at the text below. In 35 seconds, you must read this text aloud as naturally and clearly as possible. You have 35 seconds to read aloud.
Timing: 35s to prepare · 40s to speak
Scored on: Content, Pronunciation, Oral Fluency
Tip: Use the preparation time to read it silently once. Keep going if you stumble — stopping costs more than the slip.

The 10–90 scale
Is 65 good?
Almost nobody has the PTE scale memorised, and most people arriving here know IELTS bands instead. Every score below carries its band equivalent from Pearson's own concordance.
Typically asked for by: Most postgraduate courses. Australia's “proficient English” tier, worth 10 points.
Band equivalents are Pearson's published concordance and are approximate. Always check the exact number your university or visa stream asks for — some state a PTE score directly.
Take a free PTE mockInside a score report
An estimate that tells you why it's an estimate.
Most PTE tools quote a number and let you assume it's Pearson's. Ours explains the difference in the report itself — the same sentence you'd want us to have told you before you paid.
One task can move two skills
Read Aloud feeds Speaking and Reading; Summarize Written Text feeds Reading and Writing. A Reading score can drop without you getting a single reading question wrong — which is why the per-item breakdown is what tells you which it was.
Sort by the weakest type, not the weakest skill
A skill average hides where the marks actually went. “Listening 61” is not something you can practise; “Write from Dictation 4 out of 12” is a practice session.
Read the transcript, not just the mark
Every recorded answer keeps the transcript Whisper produced. When Speaking marks look wrong, this is usually why — the recording caught less than you said, which on test day would score exactly the same.
Pronunciation and fluency are measured, then banded
Every recording is scored word by word and sound by sound by an acoustic pronunciation engine, and fluency is judged from where you paused, for how long, and how evenly you spoke. The bands follow Pearson's published descriptors, and the report shows which words and pauses held each one down — but it is not Pearson's own model, so read it as a close practice signal, not your test-day number.
PTE FAQ
Questions?
How accurate is the estimated score?+
Close enough to steer practice, and not a prediction of your official result — which is exactly how the report labels it. Pearson scores the real exam with a model trained on human-marked responses that nobody else has access to. Ours applies the published Score Guide criteria and weights each question type the way Pearson's published scoring table does. Use it to see where marks are leaking and whether they stop leaking; don't use it to decide whether to book the test.
Why do wrong answers sometimes lose marks?+
Three item types carry negative marking: Multiple Choice Multiple Answers in both Reading and Listening, and Highlight Incorrect Words. A wrong tick cancels a right one, so guessing everything scores zero rather than something. The runner warns you the first time each of those appears, and the score report shows the deduction rather than hiding it.
Do you cover the newer question types?+
Yes — Summarize Group Discussion and Respond to a Situation are both built and both appear in full mocks, alongside every other type in the current test format.
Is Pronunciation really scored by AI?+
Yes. Every recording is scored by an acoustic pronunciation engine, word by word and sound by sound, and Oral Fluency is judged from your pauses, hesitations and rhythm; both become bands using Pearson's published descriptors, and the report shows the words and pauses behind each band. It is not Pearson's own model, so treat it as a close practice signal rather than a prediction. Content, the trait you can most directly do something about, is scored against what you actually said.
Does a PTE plan include IELTS?+
No. A plan buys one exam — that's enforced in the product, not just stated in the copy: a PTE account cannot open an IELTS test even by URL. Preparing for both means two plans.
Can I take a PTE mock on my phone?+
You can review results and study on a phone, but take the mocks on a laptop or desktop. The real exam is a desktop test with a headset, and practising the speaking tasks on a phone trains timing that won't match the day.
Sitting IELTS too? It’s the same account.
Plans are sold per exam, so IELTS is a separate purchase — 80+ tests, the same AI scoring, and a twenty-chapter lesson course. That course is IELTS only today; the PTE version is being written.
